My name is Ageno Grace, and I am a single mother living in Namuwongo Slum. Life has not been easy, raising my child alone while trying to make ends meet. I had dropped out of school and felt like my opportunities were very limited.

Joining the Nature2Income project changed my life. I learned how to make hair from banana fibres, something I never thought I could do. At first, it was challenging, but with practice, I began creating beautiful hairstyles that people in my community admire.

This skill has given me a way to earn income, support my child, and regain my confidence. I now dream of growing my small business and inspiring other women in Namuwongo to explore sustainable ways to create a better future for themselves.
